We pack up for a beach day and head to Fidencios. Along the way a man inquires about my knee and shows concern that I may be causing more damage to it. Roger, who is from Bolder CO has lived here for 5 years, he offers to call San Javier to make an MRI appt. I agree, he hands the phone over to me to give them my info, I have an appt scheduled for Saturday! We then send a Pamela Thompson, local health care advocate, an email asking her if this is backwards, should I see a doctor first? She reply’s this is perfect and she sets up an appt with an orthopedic specialist for Wednesday, just bring the MRI report and disk to appointment. Cost of MRI about 285.00, specialist visit 30.00.
I spend several hours on the beach, waves are huge today! Once again whale sightings from the beach. Every year there seems to be a new service or good offered on the beach, this year it is blood pressure checks offered by a younger man dressed in a white medical uniform, I passed.
Dave went for a long walk about and picked up some produce.
Tonight we decide to take a taxi to El Barracuda for dinner hoping to view the sunset from there. Busy tonight others seemed to have the same idea but we don’t wait too long for a table and did get a beautiful sunset along with a fire dancing show on the beach after sunset.
For dinner I have Seafood Dynamite, Dave mahi mahi, both were excellent! Beach Sangrias here are the best :) after dinner they bring the complimentary Kaluha and cream, Dave drinks both (milk, yuck!)
After dinner we walk over to Captain Dons, Sylvie and The Zippers are playing there tonight. Our first time to this dive bar, but it is fun and we love the Zippers! Lots of dancing went on, I can only dance from my chair :( We will be back :)
After a quick grocery shopping trip at Leys we taxi back to our place. We had a very nice day :)
