We flew on SWA to PV, they just started flying here from Spokane last March, so nice to have another option rather than Alaska. SWA was less expensive than Alaska and I had enough points to use for one way tickets for both of us and it got us to PV 2 hours earlier than Alaska would have.
We had the easiest fastest ever time getting through customs, out the airport and to Villa Olivia than we ever have, maybe 40 minutes total! Denise was shocked when we arrived so early.
Airport construction continues, tip for anyone coming be sure to go through the first set of glass sliding doors before looking for a taxi booth or the people holding yellow taxi signs. This year I only saw one taxi booth right at exit to go outside, we just got our cab from the taxi sign man, 345.00 pescos to zone 2, or else it would be 25.00 US dollars, much better deal in pesos which we had.
Denise greeted us with big hugs, a beer for Dave Tequila and for me :) she updated us on the building progress going on in front of the villa, we were worried our 5th floor view would be gone, less water view now but accceptable! We move up to the 6th floor on Dave's Birthday, where we will have a complete ocean view :) Nice Birthday present.
We talked briefly to our neighbors from the past 3 years, Chris and Jenny, we see the French Canadian couple are here too, can’t remember their names, dang!
After unpacking we head to the cash machine for pesos and head to dinner on the beach at C&C’s, made it just in time for happy hour :)
We were starving after a travel day consuming of a banana at 3:30 am and a 1/2 peanut butter sandwich and cheese crackers before noon.
Our ocean front dinner of enchiladas and fajitas never tasted so good :) and of course margaritas were also consumed :)
We walked up B Badillo to check out what was going on. Bought a couple bottles of wine and some breakfast supplies before heading back to our place. We watched fireworks and lanterns being released from our balcony before going to bed. It has been a long day but it sure feels good to be back!!!
Our balcony view now with building in front
