Day 2

Dave started the day off with a run while I worked on my blog and have coffee on our balcony since I am still babying my knee. Actually there is no way I could run I can barely walk :(

I decide if want to try and stroll down to the Lindomar resorts restaurant La Playita, it is one of my favorite places because of the view and secluded beach. We take it VERY slow and I realize when you concentrate so hard on walking you can’t take in the beautiful surroundings.


Dave is nice and carries my purse :)

We arrive before happy hour is over and I get one of their famous margaritas, Dave a beer. We enjoy chips, guacamole and salsa before sharing an order of chicken fajitas which were excellent here :)  we walked and waded on the beach there then decided to take the bus back as I didn’t think it smart to push my knee too much.

I spent time at our pool reading and chatting with other guests while Dave went out for a walk about.

We watch the sunset before heading out for dinner. Love watching the nightly sunsets here :)

For dinner we decided to try a new to us restaurant, Laylas. We catch a taxi since I am babying the knee.  I enjoyed the taxi ride as I have not been able to walk down this far this year. 

All the outdoor seating is full but we get a table right at the outdoor area.

We order a plantain and bean empanada appetizer and a couple beverages. They also brought a complimentary appetizer of a potato cake with  salsa followed by a palate cleanser of grapefruit shaved ice topped with tequila, very yummy. For dinner I chose shrimp enchiladas, Dave spinach ravioli.



Mine was delicious Dave’s was cold, when he mentioned this to waiter the owner came and an apologize, insisted and brought a new one. Later the owner brought over fried ice cream on the house and insisted entree would not be charged, amazing customer service here! So much do we made reservations for outdoor seating next week!

We decide to walk a way back home along the malecon for a while before catching a cab. I was so enjoying getting out until WHAM POP excruciating knee pain! We immediately caught a taxi home :(  This darn knee issue is now back to where it was at it’s worse :( Big bummer!!!!! 

I go to bed and have a rough night getting comfortable not feeling very positive about how my knee will feel tomorrow. Trying to be positive, could be so much worse, at least I feel good!!!! Maybe sunshine and a few more margaritas would help?
