Day 12

Chris our PV neighbor had invited us and John and Loree to join them and a group on a sail trip today. Chris and his buddy Willy charter a 40 foot sailboat every Thursday. We have been invited to go previous years but haven’t been able to so I was very excited to finally get to go!

We take a taxi to the marina and pick up some snacks and beverages for the day.

It is a very nice boat and we join the group of 14 Canadians and 2 local crew members.

There have been lots of whales so we head out in search of them. We do have several whale sightings and a couple very close ones. 

We spend 5 hours out on the boat, “the  weather started getting rough” luckily our tiny ship was not lost! We did get rained on in the end with some lightning in the distant hills. It was a nice sail trip but we all agreed it was a bit long. 

We arrive back to the marina and we made  a beeline to the bathroom! It had been a bit rough to move around the boat :) 

We taxi back to our places, shower and head to dinner at Daqauri Dicks. Jessina, who use to work at Villa Olivia now is a hostess here gives us a nice table with waiter Oscar, he is a character! We celebrated Dave’s birthday again :)

After dinner we go dancing at Andales. I have a few different dance partners!
