We have been enjoying some very low key, just hanging out, enjoying life in beautiful PV days. The weather has continued to be perfect, sunny and not too hot. The waves have continued to be huge. The beach has the sand washed out in areas creating some huge ledges.
Dave and I start each day with walks and or runs before breakfast enjoying the morning temps and sights.
I had made reservations for a beach spot at La Palapa for Tuesday. I arrived and the host said your friends are here already. I said no I don't see them. He shows me the list of reservations and my name is checked off, showing I arrived. I said that's me and my friends are not here. Host said yes the ladies in the front row. I said I don't know them. He walks up to them and talks to them, I think telling them they have to move. One lady looks at me and said, my name is Cindy too! Ok, guess she saw my name on the reservation and took it! I was speechless. At least there was another open area, right behind them! I think I give up on trying to reserve these fancy beach spots! We did have a lovely day there with John and Loree, so all was good. And I finally went into the ocean, Loree went in and I followed, the wave action was ok!
Wednesday after our runs, Dave got back first because I ran into Villa Olivia friends and chatted a while, Dave said, lets go right now to breakfast at Freddy Tucans. I quickly changed my top and off we went. We had a yummy breakfast, one of our favorite places to have breakfast, even though we only go once a trip. Quick, efficient, friendly service, good food, great breakfast pastries.
We hung out with John and Loree at their pool at the Oceana Condos for a few hours. It has a beautiful roof top pool with amazing views, and no one hanging out their, we had it to ourselves. Our pool is always busy so it felt like a luxury. We brought a pizza and wine, John and Loree brought cheese, crackers, chips and beverages, it was a lovely afternoon on their pool deck. I hung out with the neighborhood cat at the Oceana entrance. Cat gets a lot of attention!
For dinner we met up on the beach and walked to Conchas Chinas to have dinner at La Playita with Kitty and Jim. Of course we got there in time for happy hour. After dinner Kitty and Jim gave us a tour of the airbnb they are at and have stayed at several times. Then we caught an Uber back to town, stopping for ice cream at Lix and walking around before calling it a night.
Thursday- Dave and I just did a big morning walk then made blueberry pancakes for breakfast before heading to the beach to meet up with John and Loree.
Today we just went to La Caretta, we all think it is a great spot, comfortable sling beach chairs and friendly servers. Actually better service than the fancy beach places!
I went out and picked up a few items and stopped by a boutique on B Badillo that had some cute dresses in the window. No dressing room so really couldn't try one on, I will be back when I am wearing something that will work well to slip a dress over :)
We met up with John and Loree for sunset cocktails at Chictini, our favorite spot for killer views. I tried one of their sangrias, which at most places here is simply lemonade topped with red wine, it was very refreshing.
We walked down the stairs and over to Archies Wok for dinner, we all were wanting a good dose of veggies! Dinner was enjoyed by all, obviously as I didn't take any pictures :) we have been enjoying every day here in paradise!
