Friday, Saturday, Sunday (12th,13th,14th)

Friday- Dave and I went for a morning walk together, due to water trucks hosing down an area of sidewalk we had to take a detour past the French Bakery, I stopped and bought a ham and cheese croissant for breakfast. It was not exactly like I thought it would be, had béchamel sauce in it making it very rich.

I packed a lunch and we took our beach chairs to the beach for a few hours. Waves continue to be crazy.

We met up with John and Loree and took an uber to El Rio BBQ where we met up with Kitty and Jim. We enjoyed a few hours there listening and dancing to Bobby and Gilberto, and having beverages and snacks, we love the O'Canada Nachos with pulled smoked pork.

We walked back to town and stopped at Los Muertos Brewery for pizza.

Saturday- We did the long, 7 mile, walk to the Marina, making a couple of side trips along the way. First side trip was to find a small condo complex, Suites Flamingo, it is by the Icon, because there is a very inexpensive condo for sale there. We love to check out the real estate, not that we will probably every buy anything! Just kind of a hobby! The gate was open so we walked in and were greeted by one of the condo owners. He showed us which condo it was. It is a cute older style complex a block from the beach.

Next up we found the meeting spot for my mom and her friends to meet up with Arturo for their private tour. We have known Arturo for years, he use to be a server at Casa Isabel, now he is doing private tours, mostly for cruise ship passengers.

We finally arrive at the Marina and have lunch and margaritas at Victors, we enjoy the marina view from here.

After lunch we walked to Velas Vallarta to walk around the grounds, this is where we will be staying when Cole, Theresa and boys come. It is lovely, fabulous pools and great beach area, the little boys will love it!

We took a taxi back into town and walked the rest of the way to our place.

We had left over pizza and coleslaw for dinner and enjoyed another beautiful sunset.

Sunday- I woke up and took a Covid test.....dang it was positive. Yesterday morning I had a slight irritation behind one nostril that went away. This morning I woke up with a very drippy nose. Test immediately showed a dark positive line. I guess I had to eventually get it :(

Dave packed us a lunch (he won't let me touch much now) and we took our chairs and spent some time at the beach. We are so thankful for our own beach set up as we can be far away from other people. I take the stairs now in our building to our 8th floor room, to avoid the elevator. No one takes the stairs and they are out in open air. We are now wearing masks while in our room, and Dave set up a bed for himself on the futon in our room, we are keeping our sliding door open all the time as well as our 2 ceiling fans going. Hopefully Dave doesn't get this!

Dave made dinner,  burgers and fried potatoes. I ate outside on our balcony, Dave ate inside. Another beautiful sunset.
