This was a big day, actually every day was a big day in London! My ankle/foot was feeling so much better that we walked to the British Museum. I had booked a tea there at 12:30, to be our lunch, we had a couple hours to explore the amazing museum exhibits, barely seeing the Rosetta Stone through the crowds gathered around it, before our tea reservation. Then after tea we went and found a couple of the must see items that we didn't have time to get to before hand, the oldest chess set and the Holy Thorn Reliquary.
We walked around the neighborhoods, love the flower/vines combos on the houses.
Then went to The British Library that houses the Magna Carta, Proclamation of Emancipation, original music scores from Mozart and Handel, first bibles written in numerous languages. We were disappointed that most of the Beetles exhibit had been removed for maintenance. But all in all it was very impressive.
I had booked tickets to a musical performance and dinner at Royal Albert Hall after our Puerto Vallarta friends told me it was a must do. So glad we did! We had dinner then enjoyed the most amazing evening of music from Broadway shows done by the cast from the current musicals currently going on in London. It was a one time show done for a radio, thinking PBS type broadcast. It was a Sunday night so most shows do not go on Sunday evening. Cast from the Lion King and Momma Mia were the highlights. It was beyond amazing! And the theater was so beautiful!
