We had some time to kill before we caught our 3:00 train to Montreal, after breakfast and checking out we walked to the Grand Marche Market, we always love to explore local markets.
It was a great walk to get to the market taking us through a park and across a bridge filled with artwork.
It was an amazing market, we bought a couple of apples to eat, we were really feeling the need for some fresh produce, along with a couple of delicious sandwiches to eat at the park on our walk back.
We picked up our suitcases at the hotel and walked to the train station. We chatted with a few couples who had been on our cruise and were doing the same thing we were, 2 nights in Quebec followed by Montreal for a few days. It was a lovely 3 hour train ride.
We were able to walk from the train station to our hotel in Montreal. Along the way a young man carrying his dry cleaning asked if we needed directions, he walked along with us and chatted for a while, he pointed out the nearest grocery store, coffee places etc to where we were staying. We loved our hotel here, Hotel Uville, it was build in 1967 for the Worlds Fair and it was decorated to fit that time period and was in a great location for exploring, I would stay here again.
