St Kitts

I Dave decided he needed to get a run in before we headed out for the day and of course I decided I had better get one in too! Too many days without a run and too much food and drink is not a good thing! We still managed to be off the ship before 9:00, got a taxi and were at Cockelshell beach by 9:30, yeah us! Cab was more expensive since it was just two of us, they wanted 28.00 for one way, I negotiated it down to 20.00. Would have been 14.00 for the two of us if there were more people to share with, but we were early and no one else was heading out. It was a beautiful ride to the beach, great taxi driver who shared a lot of information and we saw lots of monkeys along the way. We choose Regee Beach Bar, 15,00 for 2 chairs and umbrella we lived the beach here much better than the other beach we were at on this island several years ago, fun people soft sand, warm calm water and maybe the best rum punches yet! We stayed for 5 hours and joined a group of people in their taxi, small van, for 14.00 back to the ship, the driver stopped at the point where the pacific and Caribbean meet , he also gave us information about the island and told us about his family was a very good "tour" back to the ship. Enjoyed our dinner and hearing what Kitty and Jim,and Mark and Vonnie all did today. Today changed my opinion of St Kitts! The two other times on this island we did organized excursion tours that we didn't care for, today we loved what we did and have found the locals to be very hospitable welcoming people.
