We are off on an adventure to visit some places we have never been! We will spend 3 nights in NYC then hop on a cruise ship that makes its way up the eastern US and Canada coast ending in Quebec. We will spend 2 nights in Quebec then hop on a train to Montreal to spend a few days. This trip has taken a bit of planning on my part, for some reason it has seemed harder than usual, not sure why, maybe busy summer or I'm getting distracted too easily! I messed up when booking the hotel in Montreal, it was a good mess up as I discovered months later that we had one more night than I booked. I did have to cancel the original hotel because they could not accommodate us for that extra night, but my second choice hotel was one I had previously eyed and it was available so it was actually a win and we have one more day in Montreal!
We had more trouble deciding what to pack for this trip, as the weather may be upper 70's in some places then 60 and raining in other places. We had to plan for everything which meant more luggage than we like to haul around when traveling from place to place. But we are all packed into 1 carry on and 1 medium suitcase.
We have so many things we want to see and do in New York during our 2 full days there before the cruise, once we get on the ship there will be 8 port stops, not including New York, and only 1 sea day so we will be busy exploring and having fun! I hope to keep up on my trip reporting, but will probably get a little behind.
And we are off! 😁
