We decide Debbie had too much sun yesterday, or would it be she forgot to put sunscreen on her chest :) so we decide on a trip to the botanical gardens.
We wait for about 5 minutes at the wrong bus stop, dang I forgot you catch this one at a different spot. Bus attendant does not speak English, yeah me I actually asked him in Spanish if he did :), he points me to someone who does and he tells us how to get there. After getting there I do remember that spot. We join a group of others waiting, time passes, the line grows and grows, after maybe an hour I decide I should get a taxi. We had already discussed this with a single lady, then 2 other ladies mention it to me. I flag down a taxi, price is 350.00 pesos. I ask if he can cram 5 of us in it, I can’t leave the single lady back! He says yes, so 4 of us cram in the back one in the front and we are finally off. Others in line asked me what I had paid before getting in taxi, I know some did the same as we ran into the at the gardens. Good thing as we found out there had been an accident on the highway past the gardens so no busses were getting through.
I am returning to try and finish this post, have a feeling I might get too behind and my memory fades! So will be very brief. We had a niece time at gardens and a lovely lunch. We walked around a couple of the trails and took the short cut to the river. Caught the bus back, appeared that the highway maybe just opened up as there was a lot of traffic and buss packed, I stood for most of the way.
We went for a swim too cool off. The regulars have all arrived now. Chatted briefly with them during the nightly no host happy hour here. They reported the airport was quiet when they arrived.
Dinner at Cafe do Olla then walked around before calling it a night.
