Day 7

We had a fabulous day doing one of our favorite activities, the hike to Las Animas. This was the first time our kids have done this hike, think it was enjoyed by all :) Daves run keeper tracked it at around 3 miles but with all the ups and downs in the humidity it feels a bit longer! We had to catch a bus to Boca de Tomitlan, which is the charming fishing village where the hike starts. The hike took us about 2 hours. After a beautiful (but sweaty) hike we selected a beach restaurant that was recommended by Doug from Calgary, he does this hike once a week during his several month winter stay in PV. After lunch we swam in the ocean, felt so good! I have never seen this beach so busy, there are 2 cruise ships in port today which is a bit unusual. 2 huge excursion boats arrived and started tendering people to shore, was fine for us as they all started arriving just before we caught the water taxi back to Boca!

Tonight's beautiful sunset.
At the pool this afternoon I visited with another guest, Nigel from Vancouver BC, he was knitting a lace coverlet, his step daughter is a successful knitting designer who has been featured in Vogue and has several pattern books, Nigel had knitted many of the sweaters for the models to wear, he showed me pictures, beautiful work and designs, very impressive!
We  all went our separate ways for dinner tonight. Dave and I had dinner on the beach at Cuetes Cuetes (sp?) lots of built in entertainment on the beach right in front of our waterfront table, fire dancing, mariachi, ect. Was a very enjoyable evening but we will be in bed early tonight (10:25) think the hike wore us out...Dave might be asleep already!
