We checked out of Villa Olivia and into Velas Vallarta in the Marina area. It was a very in depth check in! Starting with bellboys gathering our stuff and giving up a claim slip, then to check in desk, then to special guests desk to sign a bunch of papers, have copies of passports made, and give a credit card so we could just sign for items purchased. Then we were escorted to our room, and greeted by Paula the manager for several units here. She went over a bunch of stuff too! The condo is huge with a huge ocean view terrace. Dave and I caught a taxi to a grocery store to get supplies before Cole, Theresa and the boys arrived.
After the family arrived we took the boys for a walk around the grounds and the beach while their parents unpacked. When Des got to the sand he just plunked down and ran his hands through though it!
We had a very special, fun, amazing and memorable time this week. So thankful that we were able to do this! I had no time to blog during this week so will just do a brief report on what we did.
Think the best part for Des and Jonas was swimming and playing in the pools. They both made great progress in their water skills during the week. They are both fearless in the water, Jonas a bit too fearless, he just wants to jump in, not caring if someone will catch him!
There was beach time.
There was time spent making and playing with new friends.
We played games/card in our room.
We went for walks and fed the fish.
Des petted a snake.
We saw iguanas, peacocks, parrots and a hawk.
We all went into town a couple of times to walk around, explore and eat.
We wanted Cole and Theresa to have some time to do things on their own so we watched the kids a few times while Cole and Theresa went for massages, out to dinner, and some time in town. Of course we maybe did a thing or two mom and dad would not have done with the kid, such as happy hour, of course virgin drinks full of sugar for the boys!
We all had dinner at the Marina 2 nights, once at CJ's BBQ, then 8 Tostados. Our last night we enjoyed a toes in the sand beach dinner at Langastinos.
Dave and I went for morning walks or runs or morning grocery trips. Dave enjoyed morning coffee at Walmart!
We also walked down the beach to Boca de Tomatoes where they have a turtle sanctuary and a crocodile sanctuary. We saw crocodile tracks in the sand but thankfully no crocodiles roaming around the beach!
It was hard to say our goodbyes after the fabulous week we all had!
And report could not be complete without a picture of Jonas taking his spot in the elevator.....every single time!
