February 19-26

Dave and my morning routine everyday while the family were here went like this: wake up and be down to the pool by 6:30 am with towels, books, beach bag to save spots for our group by the pool, then later meet Mike in the lobby around 7:00 for our morning walk which was making our way to a grocery store for supplies each day. The pool towel beach chair saving is a big deal here! From our balcony I could see people out there even before 6:00 am with their phone flashlights on saving chairs.

During our last week Dave and I made a couple of trips on the bus with Jared's family, one into town to explore and have lunch, another trip to the Versalles neighborhood for dinner. June loved the bus.

Dinner at Abulone in Versalles

Dave, Mike and I watched the grandkids while their parents all went out together for dinner one night.

We had a yummy dinner all together at Frankies, then danced on the sidewalk to fun music and had ice cream.

We spend lots of time on the beach.

And lots of time in the pool.

Reading and napping by the pool and just hanging out.

The kids all enjoyed feeding the fish and seeing the peacocks and iguanas.

We made the walk to the marina many times for dinners, and the others went for breakfast there once.

Jared's family went home after 1 week, Cole's family and Mike stayed a couple more days. We watched the boys for an evening so their parents could have a quiet dinner out. On our last full day Dave and I took a taxi into town to drop off our stuff that will be stored at the condo complex we will be staying next year. We then walked to have one last lunch on the beach until next year at El Dorado.

Our last night we all went into the Versalles neighborhood and had pizza at Los Muertos.

We had the best time! Neither of us were ready to go home! Goodbye Puerto Vallarta, we will miss you but we will see you next year!

February 16-18

Our family all arrived on the 16th. Cole, Theresa, Des and Jonas, along with Mike, Theresa's dad,  arrived mid afternoon. Joyce, Theresa's mom, had broken a bone in her foot a week prior to the trip and was not comfortable about making the trip so she stayed home. We felt so bad that she wasn't up to the trip, but were glad Mike decided to go ahead and come, it was his first trip to PV.

Jared, Margaret and June arrived a few hours later. We joined Jared's family for a late dinner in the Marina at Fajita Banana. Cole's group went for dinner there also but a couple hours earlier.

We all spent our first day exploring the beach and playing in the pool.

We all walked to the Marina for dinner spotting a crocodile along the way.

We stopped for some ice cream before walking back.

Feb 18th - We basically repeated the day, beach, pool but changed it up a bit. Cole and his family, along with Mike took a cab and went into town to walk around, explore and have lunch. Then we along with Cole's family we took a cab to the Versalles neighborhood for dinner.
