Day 22

Our plan for toddy was a beach day in Mismaloya. We took a cab, as we got out of the can our driver introduces us to a man and tells us he has the best restaurant on the beach. There is some conversation in Spanish between the two men and our cab driver tells us the beach is closed! What?? How can the beach be closed??? The government has closed the beach, seems a big development company is trying to purchase it for a mega resort and it is in a legal battle?! That is what we think?!  Now what to do?
I ask our driver to take us to Boca de Tomatlan for our beach day. Along the way we see family's protesting the closing of the beach, a lot of families! It is Sunday which is their big family day here and is the only day off for most people. Many families spend it on the beach and now it is closed! So sad :( we wish we could read the signs and tried to find more information but no success so far.
Boca really is an idyllic setting. We have only been here for a starting point for a hike or to catch a water taxi. Daniel was our waiter for the day and gave us exceptional service!
View from our beach chairs.
One of many sweet dogs that hung out with us, all very well mannered! We could have taken a couple home with us :)
Had dinner at Casa Traditional, a newer restaurant in PV.  Highlight was the group of young musicians who performed for us, this boy appeared to be about 10 and played a mean trumpet and sang!!!!! Totally blew us away!
We took in the sights along the malecon on our way home. Sunday is family day here and there is dancing, shows, food, art, and festivities that go late into the night :) we were in bed long before the locals!
